if running a tec like that on the gpu, would a separate psu be neccessary?

thnx

Yes...the TEC can pull well in excess of 20 amps all by itself and is powered by it's own MeanWell PS.

Back side of the card ... does the TEC require any kind of insulation for condensation?

"This article is based on the previous voltmod article for the Radeon X800 Pro, X800 Pro VIVO, X800XT and X800XT PE AGP line and has been adapted to apply to the Radeon X800 Non-Pro, X800 XL and X850 PCI-Express line using PCB #A474."

This seems to specify PCI-Express for the x850, are the mods the same for an AGP card?

Sorry for the crappy pics, try to make some better laters! :)

I just thought I better point this out, you havent plugged in two of the power supplies that the motherboard needs. There is a molex to the right of one of the pictures, and a floppy power supply to the left. I also forgot these when I got my ultra-d and so did my mate hwo bought the same board as me

Sorry for being a bit of a noob.

But I presume volt modding is used to get higher stable clocks from your GFX cards? Like overclocking a CPU, although that easier to do obviously.

Will it reduce the chance of artifacts aswell?

Is there a program that tell me what voltages my card is currently running at?

Evil that is correct ... no software that I'm aware of that will tell you your voltages

If you want your Vmods to be effective you need much better GPU amd memory cooling t go with them.

Finding the max clean OC's on a GRX card is harder and much more time consuming than OC'ing a CPU. The latter is a cake walk in comparison.

Hi m8s!
First of all, sorry for my poor english, i'm spanish and i can't write english as well as i want.
Let's go:

I'm new here and I want to ask you some questions, i'm going to Vmod my Sapphire X850XT and i need to know if your article can be used with my card too, and what speeds could i get if i mod it.
Now i have the card with stock cooler (waiting my WC kit) and i have it flashed to PE, and it goes well, but i need more and more!!! What speeds could i get aprox without vmod? When i pass from 570 on core speed, with 590 on mems, my system hangs up, is it normal?

Help me plz!!! Thx guys!

EDIT: I don't know if i posted in wrong place, if yes, sorry.

Here is my old Sapphire X850XT Platinum:

The stock cooler is used to hide few things... ;)
With the special mods the card can run 3DMark05 at 750MHz (gpu) and 675MHz (memory) with tight latencies. Thats just aircooling...
