How good is the game?
Pretty good in my book and I'm still playing it. Yes, it has its faults, but nothing like it's been slagged off in the mainstream reviews. Just needs a patch for a few bugs is all. The non-politically correct aspect of the game which it got so criticised for, is its best feature in my book and is just being true to the original versions.
Have a look at the reviews by crazyeyesreaper (gameplay) and myself (tech aspects/glitches) on TPU for a much more balanced view of the game:

There was one decent commercial review for it, but I can't remember who it was now to give you the link. It was discussed on the Duke Nukem Forever thread if you wanna look through it.
Finally, you might also be interested in my thread, The Duke Nukem Classic thread: Hail to the King baby!
