just like the title, would you suggest me any best strategy game based on features and game play
Which kind of strategy games? For me, chess will always have a special place in my heart because its so simple yet devillishly hard to beat a pro. Strategy at its finest IMHO, because there is no way you can fluke your way to a victory.
If you are talking about computer games, probably, Rome:Total War or Starcraft (2)
Heroes of Might and Magic III, everything by Blizzard and Europa Universalis are the best imo.
im thinking about Total War too, but im kinda run out of new strategy game since many FPS release today
so i make this thread
supreme commander and its expansion, forged alliance. giant maps, high unit limits. supcom2 seems too dumbed down for me. horrible graphics and not nearly as many units.
Company of Heroes, has to be
Love that one.
Supreme Commander. The shear amount of planning you have to put into it is mind boggling if you are a new player.
- Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars
- Supreme Commander Forged Alliance
- Supreme Commander 2
- Company Of Hero's
- Starcraft 2
- Empire Earth 2 (A tad older then the others but still a classic to me)
Add the Warhammer 40K Dawn of War 1 and 2 series for pure action and fun. 1 is more RTS, 2 is more action/rts...but I really enjoyed both.
I'd say there is no best, the Starcraft series is kickass, oldschool C&C, newer action/rts games can be a blast if executed correctly. World in Conflict is a very kickass game imho (and has a very solid demo to try). Hell if I had to choose an all-time favorite, it'd probably have to be the original C&C or Red Alert as those games hooked me on the RTS genre over a decade ago.
If you like 4X space games GalCiv II is a good one, and Masters of Orion II is a classic (MoO 3 was not received well by the hard core fans, but I liked it)
I also really liked the original Homeworld game. A little dated now but still looks pretty.
Holy crap how did I forget Warhammer 40K, Im actually playing them now
yep thats right, real life.
The ultimate strategy/adventure game. It can get tiring after awhile though.
WarCraft xxx, StarCraft xxx, Warhammer 40k xxx, C&C xxx, Age of Empires xxx and so on, and so on, i simply cant choose the best.
i like anno 1404 or patrician 3,maybe patrician 4 come out olready i dont know.
civ III and civ IV, combine them both and i have more gameplay hours invested then every other game ive ever played combined
Another one to look into is Sins of a Solar Empire. There's like 3 expansions, tons to do in this space rts sim, the battles can be huge and epic, I've definitely wasted quite a few hours into this one. Got the whole collection on an Impulse sale months ago. Too bad this thread wasn't made last weekend when Age of Empires III was 10 cents. Best sub $1.00 game I've ever purchased!
company of heroes
I like Supreme Commander 1 and 2 myself, also the spiritual father to those games Total Annihilation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_Annihilation
Can't believe nobody mentioned R.U.S.E. That one is pretty good, imho.
And, there's definitely no "the best one", but there are many many great strategy games out there.
I'd also like to add Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri to the list. An old, but purely awesome turn based strategy game.
I always find myself coming back to Supreme Commander Forged Alliance and anything in the Total War series.
no1 said it cause it sucks
Supcom, civ 3-4 (5 is mehh), galciv 2, europa, hoi, coh
1. The Total War series
2. Age of Empire series
3. Heroes of Might & Magic series
4. Company of heroes.
Also Civ III, could never stomach IV and V (and playing I and II is pretty hard nowadays, it's like playing the first Warcraft).
Stalker is kinda FPS
Separate names with a comma.
