What is your favorite PC Controller?

What controller do you absolutely love and couldn't play without? I'm not talking Keyboard and Mouse, I talking actual game controllers, I know the awesomeness of a keyboard and mouse.

I was using a PS2 controller connected to a USB converter box. However, now I use one of my PS3 controllers. The only down side is when I disconnect it from the USB port it turns my PS3 on.

I use and enjoy the MS 360 controller. It's comfortable and multipurpose.

I used to have a Logitech one but it was too small for my liking and I traded it off.

I too had a Logitech, Chillstream, with the fans. Cool little feature for long games, but I too felt it was small and I missed rumble support. I ended up with a 360 controller as well

I've used PS1/PS2 pads and a converter for years but thats mainly because we got into stepmania and we bought a nice metal dance mat, My last console was a PS2 so it was simple and easy to just use the pads from that.
The only downside to using a converter is when pc games are based on xbox pads so we have to use an xbox360 pad emulator but it works a treat.

I personly can't get on with xbox pads and i don't like being forced to buy one for a pc just to play some games. If i wanted to use a xbox pad i'd buy a bloody xbox lol.

The 360 controller just works so well, that it is hard to not use it.

I also have a Hori 360 fightstick...

And a G25.

Also a G27.

I NEED each of them for different games. No such thing as a single good controller for my uses.

360 controller useing a program called x-padder it lets you con-fig and map the key boired and,
Mouse seting two run any p.c game ass it would with mouses and key boired but just useing a
360 controller as a mouses and key boired.

360 controller wired, g27 logitech wheel and a Force feedback sidewinder joystick.all work remarkably well and I really find the 360 controller to be very playable. I was thinking about trying a ps3 controller.

Picked up a couple Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2 on sale a couple years ago and have been using them since. KB + Mouse + Pad makes a big difference for me in a couple games, most notably GTA. Some games I can just lean back and go pad-only.

It's pretty good on battery life.

Belkin Nostromo - now a Razor product, best FPS controller IMHO.

I also love the TrackIR - not strictly a controller but makes gaming so much easier.

I used to have the Xbox360 controller, but it just wasn't as comfortable as the PS2/PS3 controller. But I understand that is a personal preference.

For years I used (and configured in every game) an old Playstation 2 controller with a SmartJoy Plus USB adapter. It did work very well, and being I was so used to that controller the racing, action/adventure (come on..Prototype, Tomb Raider, Darksiders and the like are much better with a controller!) style of games. Then one day I finally picked up a cheap Mad Catz version of wired XBox 360 controller...couldn't be happier. Hell most games you'd think to use it (and a few you don't) it's already pre-configured, works right away, and works damn well. So I retired the PS2 + SmartJoy combo...but it's a trusty backup if my XB360 controller fails. So far so good!
