Why do you people WANT an X1800? For the price of a XL you could get a 7800GTX

Ahh, I'm getting so excited. I have $323 saved up right now, and I have $400 coming my way from selling parts. So I should be able to get an XT and Crossfire motherboard in a few weeks.

What clocks have you been able to get your XL up to, bb7_rider?

I'm looking into probably getting this DFI. I've read reviews on it, and it's only major downside is it's USB2 speeds are pretty slow, but the only things I use that are USB-bound are my flash drive and printer. Also it has no SATA-II, but I'm very pleased with my pair of Raptors. :D This beast can actually run a 1T command rate with four sticks of RAM!

There's always Froogle too.;) Plus ATIs flat out do better in 3dm05 than Nvidias. Look at a 6800 compared to an x800 or x850. Big difference.

I think ATI wanted to prove a point by totally reinventing everything whereas nVidea simply added some more pipelines and upped the clocks a little. Now all ATI has to do is add more pipelines for say a Platinum Edition or x1850 series.
