Post your commentLooks nice so far. What brand of psu is that? Not every 500w will power a 8800GT, if it came with the case im pretty sure it wont lol
Hey, yeah i was told it will be able to handle the GT just, its a seperate psu and brand should be on the pic Cheers
by: ThermalTake-FTW!Well just to make sure you dont get gyped by a sales person link the psu to me cause I still cant tell from that pic.

nice so many cables there i dun even understand wat are they for :( 9/10 luv viper ohh almost forgot about the 7300 GS + 4 GB of RAM sounds kind of suky wat games is it running
by: gamerxproHi, LOL 7300gs is really suky for games, on COD4 i get about 70FPS with no aa and on1024-786 but with everything else on highest it goes, pc is really being bottlnecked by that gpu.

I hopefully want to get the 8800gt which will be better to kick ass with :D... OH yeah the grey cables are for the front panel on the viper, blue cable is the IDE for dvd burner, Yello is for the HDD and the rest are extras like psu n stuff The reason i cant be bothered to cable manage that much is because the airflow seems to be ok at 25 -34 degrees and the sidepanel on the Black Viper 2 case is Tinted so only light gets through IE Fans n Cathodes etc, I really wanna put a Red cathode in there soon or Some UV LIGHTS :D:D:D:D
by: ShadowFoldSUp, I gave a tech guy a call today "family friend" and he said it was enough but recomended a 600w+.

by: Viper2Umm you can run a 8800GT on a good 450w like the Corsiar 450w. Brand is half of the psu's specs. I got a Rosewill psu, there quality is not the best but the specs on it are amazing for the price. 550w, Active PFC, 80+% eff, two +12v rails at 18a and 20a, great air flow, cool blue lights 8).

Hey man, Love you rig but i still think the Original viper case is better :)
Btw, if that's the power supply that came with the case, the XG ones tend to be really good, i've had mine for 2 and a half years and it's still running nice and stable keeping my 8800gt and C2D nicely overclocked. 7/10 overall.
edit : Had to use the same title for the thread didn't you lol! xD

Nice Machine and specs. I myself am not an intel fan. how does the newer viper case hold up? I have the older version and love it. the newer ones looked like they had too much plastic for me. Nice machine tho!
Here is a PSU calculator that will help to see if you can play with that 8800gt.
With psu you got to think of head room. That way you don't have to get a new Psu because you got what you needed and nothing more. IMO.
Good build and waiting on that cable management!

I voted 8.
I like the case, but at this moment in time the cable management is appaling. With some work you could have an awesome looking rig :)
