Post your commentA 4, I love it when people go through and rate low to be jerks :/ i put a lot of hard work into this :(
I think you should post what you have done with it, because for me it looks just like a stock case with watercooling.. Nothing special
yeah.. check other cm690s here... but its not that bad to get a 4 though..
a 4 is a "fair" means not bad but not anything over the edge

It's hard for me to tell what you would like to see, you have 0 posts and no system specs. But it does have a painted interior, a ton of sweet hardware, and it wasn't just a WC kit, I peiced it together.

4 would be below average (5), a comp backing this kind of power just shouldn't see that sad of a rating. I like a nice clean look, cable management is good (for 11 case fans), the lights provide enough bling. No need to go way over the line and be the ricer of comp cases.
Needs some cable management maybe, but I like it.
Well done mate.

by: 1Kurgan1ok just to let you know only the looks mater not the hardware (but good hardware looks good) ... people have different criteria and my one is that i dont see anything special .

and about the "I like a nice clean look, cable management is good (for 11 case fans)" I do think you have quite a different criteria than most of us

and as an add on the case has scratches as if it was in a battlefield .... :S
I am sorry but you want a little to much from us
not to shabby brotha. Alittle Cable Management and you'll have yourself a 10/10
Look sweet man - im considering doing a H20 loop in mine, maybe a double on the back via a rad box and then a double where the bottom fan hole is after removing the HDD cage.
Overall, I like it! all black looks damn sexy!

Thanks for the compliments guys!
That is about as good as my cable management can get, you might not realize exactly how many wires are where you circled and that there is not a way to run these wires without splicing and actually making these lines longer.
On the bottom circle there is 2 cables that run to the back that switch 12" UV's on an off, there is the Sound connections for up front, the 8pin connector for the PSU. There is zero other pathes for these wires unless I run them on the back side of the mobo, drill a hole out the back of the case and run these wires in through drive bays (would look horrible). Also there is the front panel USB down there and front panel sound and firewire.
That wire on across the fan has been bothering me for a while, you do got me there. And the wires up top is once again a length issue. Thats the conglomerate of 2 push fans and 2 pull fans on my rad, then where the 8pin connects to the mobo and the power line for that 80mm fan. Once again zero places for these to go. It would be nice to elongate these lines and tuck them up top on the mobo. But simple fact is you have 5 fan power lines and the 8 pin connector in a hard area to deal with, thats alot of wires to just make vanish there.
You should see behind my mobo tray, to get that bad boy shut I have to lay down my case on the window side and have a friend hold the top side down while I hodl the bottom and slide it, like I said 11x fans, a water pump, 2x HDD's, DVD-RW, Temp Sensor, 3" 12' UV lights. That is alot to manage, so thats why I say give some credit, there are a TON of wirs in this case. :)
The pain is only scratched for the most part where the doors shut, and thats metal scraping metal, if you know paint metal against metal does cause this. But it seems its hurting my rating vs just leaving it unpainted. When having a black interior really helps looks once the window is on with the black DFI mobo, the insides really stand out and no silver inside of the case to distract.
Not to mention, this is a hardware forum, not necessarily a painting/customizing forum. Really got to take it all in, and in my case this is all OC'd quiet a bit.
by: to6ko91I'm not asking for any rating :p But compared to most cases on front page that have non-painted interiors and very little cables to hide and have 6 - 7 ratings.

by: kyle2020I was thinking about ditching the HDD cage too, it would make a ton of room. But it makes me giggle pulling the HDD trays out, never had another case this nice. If you want to keep the rads all internal one can be put up top. But it will be tight. I seen one where a guy even didn't cut out the metal, but you need to use 20mm wide fans and you do need to get rid of that plastic grating. But cutting out the metal up there would free up some room to probably use some nice 25mm's.

Dude, if you remove the rear exhaust fan and rotate it 90' to the left, you will be able to hide that cable between the fan casing and the back plane.
Problem 1 solved.
Buy yourself a Zalman y splitter and some fan cable extensions, run the fan power cables through the hole on the top of the back plane and plug the entensions from the new fan plug location to the molex connector that the Zalman is connected to.
Problem 2 solved.
To sort out the rest of the wiring problems I would shunt most of the cabling through the lower back plane holes and stealth them in the unused space between the back plane and the side panel.
I'll post a link to my cable management solutions when I put my pictures up, maybe tonight.
Just a few suggestions mate. Hope you come right.
Later bud.

by: ex-dohctorYou don't realize my 220 rad is bolted through that rear fan. So in order to hide that simple 1 cable I have to drp my entire rad. I'll get to it later when I want to dust off that back fan.

I been looking at the fan splitters though, would allow me to make it look much better.
But I also can't hide anything else back behind the mobo plate. The PSU is fatness and sits right up against the plate. So I can't fanangle any wires inbetween the PSU and mobo plate. :(
I might be able to jam my UV light switch wires down there, not sure if they are long enough though. In the end it all comes down to how lazy I am feeling, lol. But ty for the tips!
Ah ok, no worries mate.
I voted 9/10 because:
I think it look superb bro. I know the time you spent was worth it, but as the others have mentioned... clean those wires up a bit and you will have yourself a nice "clean" rig worthy of the 10 spot. Still none the less its a great rig, I would buy one :D
