I'm surprised you would mount the cd drive on the bottom, why is that?

Close up of the inside (mounting/wiring/etc) would be nice.

Theres one I did for class(For comparison). Mine was a industrial arts 2 project though, I don't quite know how advanced you are with woodworking. I had to use some pretty hardcore cuts to get some of my mounting, and a good bit of dremeling/TLC for some things. It also took a really long time. :|

Actually, I think the hardest part for me was mounting the hardware. In my case I used like an almost 2" DADO (IIRC, its been like 5 years :<) that I cut on a table saw. It was EXTREMELY hard, but worked out to a PERFECT fit. Getting screws to fit a cdrom through wood would be a nightmare, I would use probably more of a "snap-in" layout if I did it again. (Or the thing I used, it was such a tight fit, it held itself in.) Mounting is a pain (esp the PSU.) I see the ideas he used to work with this, PSU looks self supporting (maybe?) which would concern me, as my PCPower and cooling is extremely heavy... but Some also have nice little metal flaps that are convenient for screwing directly to the tood on the back. Since he had the same problem I did with the backplate, it looks like he flipped the side the mobo is mounted- giving the GPU wooden support with that lip on the back. I went the route of individual slots for the top most GPU, and bottom sound card, and it was bad. :p

For the CDROM on the bottom, it actually doesn't look mounted (which is bad, it spins and will probably move around a bit), but being at the bottom itself shouldn't hurt a thing. Looks like a Shop I project- of which isnt too bad. It's design could definitely use some more development/planning, though.

EDIT: Just realized he spent $15. nice, Mine was a hell of a lot more xD

Meh I had to rush this whole PC 4 my shop class and yes it was my first w00den case. I like your AMD logo on urs Dippyskoodlez.
I rarely use the CD drive, its mainly a Media PC for my 52' LCD LG. I watch High resolution .MKV animes on it.

The reason I ask is because it seems like a back-breaker just to use it while sitting at a desk. I guess I'm just getting old.

Anyway not bad for a first wooden mod. Are you going to add a cathodes? cause the way your window is designed it will look sweet.

Cathodes? Nah, I don't want the case to be pretty enough to distract me from watching my 52'. I was thinking of adding a 80mm fan but its cool enough around 40's to 45.
