Performed Mods:
This build was meant to be simple and functional. Nothing really flashy, just a water cooled rig with a functional and cleanly designed layout.
The hardest part of this build was cable management and keeping everything themed correctly. Overall, I am very happy with this build. It came out almost exactly like I had imagined. Before I bought any parts I sketched up everything in Google SketchUp to give me a general idea of what was capable. After research and hours of work, i5_alive is complete and running very well.

Clean build,, Is your flow going from one rad to another then into the mosfet.

Yep. I wanted to keep the tubing routing as clean as possible. I did a bunch of research and it has basically no effect on temps no matter how things are routed. The only thing that really matters is the location of the reservoir and pump. As long as those two components are orderd correctly, temps will be the same no matter what.

I am a big fan of the Tempest and I have been following your log. The amount of thought you put in the i5 build is awesome. 10/10 from me bro, it looks great and I'm sure will run flawlessly!

No no steel, not flow, the orientation. Example; if I did CPU before the MOSFETs, the temperature difference would at most be about 1C. Thats what I'm talking about. 8/10 is great! :D

Sweet! I get better temperatures with a Corsair H50. BTW, my i5 750 is OC'd at 4.1ghz using 1.36V.

Good find, performance PCS has those too, however it's rather expensive. check it out:

I'll see how much they are shipped and everything, think they will be much cheaper regardless.

I'll see, I haven't found any in my previous searches. I'll consider the NZXT ones.

Got it off Amazon ckn, just search "24 pin extension". Luckily mine came in black so I replaced the opaque female end with a black one to give it the all black look. I didn't feel the need to sleeve it since it was all black, looks great. :D

While my rig is clean...... I think I have to go back to the drawing board :) Nice rig but way to make a guy feel inferior LOL

Great build. Smart move with the 24-pin extension! :D At first, I thought you sleeved it. Nevertheless, this doesn't look any worse.
