Agreed.
Nice Rig but that Monitor should be your priority upgrade. Your running a Big block V8 and powering a Fiat 500

Nothing is wrong with a CRT monitor. In fact for gaming CRT is far superior to LCD. A good CRT will do 125hz which is ideal. Also it has better color def.

I have a nice 20in LCD for office work and other junk, and a 22inch NEC CRT for gaming.

I agree. I still use a CRT, I know quite a few people with flat screen monitors and the picture quality on my CRT is noticably better. I'm sure there are pleny of flat screen monitors that are better than my CRT but they still cost a lot and I don't see the point in trading in for one when my CRT does the job just as well. Sure CRTs take up a lot of space, but if you're not short on space then it's not really a problem.

Yep, and the top end LCD's still have worse refresh and picture quality then the top end CRT's.

your pc looks the shizz good overclocking great pc could just do with a nice 24 inch tft to go with that ;)
by pead929 (January 15th - 2:30 PM) - Reply
I give you an 8 for a nice clean install. I must say i only took off one point because you should deffinitely be rocking a sleak high performance LCD to go along with all the nice stuff you have. They're not cheap but neither was that case!
by mitsirfishi (January 15th - 6:17 PM) - Reply
my case was 35 pounds on offer when i purchased it :D

why all the bashing on crts? hell they last forever and usually a good crt bought in 1995 will still be running today. im using a dell oem sony triniton 19" and the picture is muuuuch better then any lcd ive seen. why do you always scoff at nvidia image quality when you are running a shitty cheap lcd?
by Greek (January 16th - 12:45 PM) - Reply
well when i bought ma LCD it was £272, convert that to us dollars and u'll get a 8800GTX so i dunno if cheap is the word id describe it with
by TangoFish (January 16th - 5:02 PM) - Reply
Wow that actually makes me moist.

Well I had a Sony Trinitron 17 inch that stopped producing red 5 years after i bought it. As for my LCD... I replaced the Trinitron with a Viewsonic VP171s and the image quality was much clearer than anything i was able to get out of my Sony.

the fan is for extracting any heat left so no moisture can build up not exactlly for cooling purposes
