Added Zalman CNPS9700LED Cooler, and I'm done with painting the Case inside. I have rotated the CPU Cooler (Thank you, KTR :) and Now I'm just waiting for the mailman, then I'll pull it all apart again, and do a Proper upgrade! :) I'm pretty happy with the Paintjob..
Next I'm gonna Upgrade the Motherboard (to ASUS P5KC) and the Processor (To Intel Core 2 Duo - E6750) and put in the Ram I'm waiting for (2GB Corsair Dominator DDR2/PC8500/1066Mhz)Looking forward to that!
Still waiting for the Mail, But now i know it will be here within a couple of hours :) I decided to do something about the power distribution (Cables to my drives) as it looked pretty Chaotic! I made a "Powerstrip" that fitted snugly with the frame of my drivebays and mounted it with strips, for easy removal, if i decide to change the configuration when i install my new hardware. Check out the pics, and you'll see what i mean :) Oh, and Please, if you have read this far, why not submit a Rating vote, and if you'd like, post and tell me what you think, and what i could/should improve. what'd you use to avoid painting what you didn't want to (ie the drive bay locks etc)

Hmm.. My advise is this.. Take it all off! As you can see in the pictures, i have unscrewed, unclicked and unhinged everything from the case, because no matter how careful you are, if you don't want paint "there", rest assured, Paint will get "there"! :) Depending on what case you have, you should be able to remove all the bits and pieces..
Some good advise would be, have a lot of patience.. you (hopefully) plan to use spraypaint, so paint it in 3-5 minutte intervalls, to avoid spraying the same area multible times and get "runs" ..the paint i used takes about 5-10 minuttes to dry enough, so that you can apply a second coat without it running.. You should/would rather apply 8-10 really thin coats to get a nice coverage than spraying one or two thick coats.. practice on an old case you pick up in a dumpster somewhere, if you are not used to use cans..
Final advice: put screws in all holes that you dont want paint in.. i put screws from an old case in the motherboardtray to avoid the M.board mounts getting full of paint.. It's easier to unscrew the old screws, than to have to force the mounts for the M-board into dried paint. (I hope that made sence, i know it was a twisted explanation, but i hope you understand where i'm going) :)
Other than that: Go for it, worst case scenario is having to sand down the case and start over! :)

well I have high quality spray paint but it said like 2 hours min per coat so that's why I've been procrastinating on the whole thing haha, this doesn't sound as bad doing 3-5 min intervals!

I dont know if you can do it in 3-5 minuttes intervals, but i did.. I painted it earlier today. (It was really nice weather here, and i went outside in the sun, and started painting :) So the heat made the paint dry faster than normal, and on the can it says that the paint is dry enough to touch in 10-20 mins. and dry all the way through in 30-45 mins, but it went much faster in direct sunlight. :) So hopefullly you will have some nice weather.. And just go for it :) Good luck!
