Lite-On Unveils the EP2 U.2 Series Enterprise SSD
Lite-On unveiled the EP2 line of enterprise SSDs, which leverage the U.2 interface. Convertible to SATA-Express and M.2, this interface lets the drive offer sequential transfer rates of up to 2200 MB/s reads, with up to 1300 MB/s writes. With its 290,000 IOPS 4K random reads, and 29,000 IOPS 4K random writes, the drive is designed for read-intensive database servers. The EP2 U.2 comes in capacities of up to 1920 GB. Its endurance is rated at 1 DWPD for 3 years, with an MTBF of 2 million hours, and UBER rated at 1/10^17 bits.
