Intel Launches Industry's First AI PC Acceleration Program

Building on the AI PC use cases shared at Innovation 2023, Intel today launched the AI PC Acceleration Program, a global innovation initiative designed to accelerate the pace of AI development across the PC industry.

The program aims to connect independent hardware vendors (IHVs) and independent software vendors (ISVs) with Intel resources that include AI toolchains, co-engineering, hardware, design resources, technical expertise and co-marketing opportunities. These resources will help the ecosystem take full advantage of Intel Core Ultra processor technologies and corresponding hardware to maximize AI and machine learning (ML) application performance, accelerate new use cases and connect the wider PC industry to the solutions emerging in the AI PC ecosystem. Blackmagic Design Announces New DeckLink IP HD Capture Card

Blackmagic Design today announced DeckLink IP, a new family of PCIe cards that capture and playback 10-bit uncompressed, broadcast quality video directly into 2110 IP based broadcast systems. DeckLink IP cards support multiple video channels plus each channel can capture and play back at the same time. DeckLink IP provides total IP network security as all video is captured and played back using the DeckLink IP's frame buffers, which act like a video based firewall isolating the ethernet port from anything other than video and audio. DeckLink IP will be available in June from Blackmagic Design resellers worldwide from US $345.

DeckLink IP cards are the easiest way to capture and play back video directly into 2110 IP based broadcast systems. They have the same DeckLink features so all customers existing software will just work. This means customers can build racks of servers generating broadcast graphics, virtual sets, or GPU based AI image processing, all directly integrated into 2110 IP broadcast infrastructure. Customers can even use DaVinci Resolve for 2110 IP based broadcast editing workstations! DeckLink IP features a high speed PCIe connection so it works on the latest Mac Pro, Windows and Linux computers.

Blackmagic Design Announces DeckLink Mini Monitor HD and DeckLink Mini Recorder HD

Blackmagic Design today announced DeckLink Mini Monitor HD and DeckLink Mini Recorder HD, new models of PCIe capture and playback solutions featuring 3G-SDI and HDMI connections. These updated models of the popular DeckLink Mini cards support video formats up to 1080p60 and 2Kp60 DCI, and are designed to work with advanced color spaces such Rec. 2020 for deep color and higher dynamic range. The new DeckLink Mini HD models are also lower cost. DeckLink Mini Monitor HD and DeckLink Mini Recorder HD are available now from Blackmagic Design resellers worldwide for US$129 each.

DeckLink Mini Recorder HD and DeckLink Mini Monitor HD feature advanced high quality video technology that supports uncompressed and compressed capture and playback at the highest 10-bit SD and HD quality. Both models support broadcast quality 10-bit YUV and 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 for pixel perfect capture and playback so customers get breathtaking image quality and detail. Replacing the previous 1.5G-SDI models, the update to 3G-SDI has allowed more features to be added such as support for video formats up to 1080p60 and 2Kp60 DCI, wider color spaces including Rec. 2020, as well as support for RGB video formats.

Blackmagic Design Announces DaVinci Resolve 18

Blackmagic Design today announced DaVinci Resolve 18, a major new cloud collaboration update which allows multiple editors, colorists, VFX artists and audio engineers to work simultaneously on the same project, on the same timeline, anywhere in the world. DaVinci Resolve 18 supports the Blackmagic Cloud for hosting and sharing projects, as well as a new DaVinci proxy workflow. This update also includes new Resolve FX AI tools powered by the DaVinci Neural Engine, as well as time saving tools for editors, Fairlight legacy fixed bus to FlexBus conversion, GPU accelerated paint in Fusion, and more! Blackmagic Design today announced Blackmagic Cloud Store Mini a new network storage solution with the high performance of 4 M.2 flash memory in a RAID 0 configuration. With its built in 10G Ethernet, the Blackmagic Cloud Store Mini is extremely fast so it allows multiple users to collaborate on video editing in software such as DaVinci Resolve. Plus with Dropbox sync, multiple units can be synchronized across different geographic locations. Blackmagic Cloud Store Mini features a compact rack mount design that's very portable and whisper quiet. Internally it has an array of 4 flash memory cards working in parallel for higher speed. The 10G Ethernet port and the 1G Ethernet port operate as a 2 port network switch. There is also an HDMI monitoring output so customers can watch a live graphic view of the storage operating on a TV or monitor.
