Introduction
antec mobile products, or a.m.p, just released a new portable Bluetooth speaker similar to the UE BOOM in size. This new a.m.p product is dubbed SP1 and has a playtime of about 10 hours, which is impressive for a small portable speaker. You can get the SP1 in a large variety of colors, and it comes with both charger cable and mini-jack cable for all those devices lacking Bluetooth connectivity. The SP1 also features a microphone, which enables it to double up as a conference-call device.
The SP1 costs $89, making it half as expensive as the UE BOOM which it is comparable to in terms of features. We will now take the SP1 for a spin to see how it fares against its pricier competitor.

The Package
The SP1 is a super-compact product. The design of both the SP1 and its box is kept simple, which is great.
