Packaging

BitFenix ships the Shinobi XL in a brown cardboard box with the case name printed on it with large letters in the front. Turning it around, you will find a simple graphic of the chassis along with some of its main features, while one side lists the specifications of the enclosure. Two openings in the sides aid in carrying the entire package from the post office home for example.

Two thick foam spacers hold the chassis in place and protect it from bumps on the way to you. A thin plastic bag ensures that no scratches or finger prints end up on the chassis when the workers at the factory pack it up.

Contents

You will receive a good set of features with the BitFenix Shinobi XL chassis. Besides the screws, there are plenty of zip ties and clips to keep things nice and tidy within the case, along with a 5.25 to 3.5" adapter for one of the external drive bays. A fairly detailed manual is also included, so you should be good to go, no matter what your background in DIY systems is.
