Biostar Motherboards

Biostar has been doing incredible well over the last months. Their motherboard sales are so high, that if growth continues like this, they will be able to compete with the big tier 1 manufacturers soon.

The T-Series motherboards are designed to be affordable high-end motherboards with a large number of overclocking features. As you can imagine the hot products here were the new Intel Series 3 Chipsets with support for DDR3.

The new high-end is the Intel X38 chipset based "TX38D3-A7 Deluxe". The big thing in the middle of the motherboard is the chipset which comes with a heatspreader. Basically Intel is reusing their "old" 130 nm fabs which used to make CPUs to make chipsets now. This is a great way to make sure you can continue using these factories which cost billions of USD to build, even when there are no more CPUs you could make with them because technology moved forward. The board will be available around September time when Intel launches their X38 chipsets.
  • Socket LGA775, ATX
  • Supports Intel Core 2 Quad/Duo/Pentium D/Pentium 4/Celeron D processors
