The Insides

Removing both side panels is done easily, as these are secured by thumb screws. The mainboard tray is solid and does not have any bigger holes besides the air vent. Taking a first look into the case reveals a few surprises. Cooler Master has added clips along the edge of the mainboard area, to make routing cables easier. The missing screws have been screwed in to form a neat line behind the 5.25 inch bays. Both sides of these bays are lined with screws, so you will have no choice but to remove both covers to access all of them. The screw-free locking mechanism is also not present on one side of the case, which gives you another reason to remove the side panel.

The hard drive trays are made of soft plastic. While this may not appear to be the best choice at first, it does serve a purpose, but more on that later. The five optical bays feature a unique locking mechanism on one side. The bottom bay also holds a tray to place an additional hard drive or 3.5 inch device at that, or if you wish, any other 5.25 inch bay.

The rear fan is identical to that found on the side of the case. It also features a mainboard header to Molex adapter. The PCI brackets have a brand new screwless system as well. We will see if it holds well during the installation of a GeForce 8800 GTS. The PSU bay is lined with a foam spacer, which should eliminate all vibration from the power supply. This makes for an overall quieter system.

The third and last fan is hidden behind the hard drive bays. It has the same mainboard header to Molex adapter, but also features blue LEDs. Even with this little extra, it can still be plugged into the mainboard without having to worry about it drawing too much power. A total of three 120 mm fans is great for a case of this price range. A plastic contraption on the bottom of the case can also hold another 120 mm fan. But wait, there is more! Cooler Master has also given the user the chance to add two further fans on the ceiling of the case. These two fan grills can also take any fan between 80 and 140 mm. That makes for a maxmium of seven large fans within a mid tower case - very impressive.
