Enermax was established in 1990, and they have striven to provide products of highest quality since. With a diverse product portfolio that includes power supplies, cases, coolers, fans, and even keyboards, they have become renowned the world over. With many of those same products recommended by reviewers and having won numerous rewards along the way, they are now in a strong position as a top-tier manufacturer.

When talking about Enermax products, their power supplies always come to mind. Having garnered numerous awards, these won over many enthusiasts with their extreme quality and exceptional performance. The Revolution85+, Galaxy EVO, MAXREVO, and Platimax units have all been solid performers. Add to that the unique look that sets Enermax power supplies apart from the competition and it is no wonder they are an enthusiast favorite. The company's massive lineup of quality fans with uniquely designed looks and several LED options has also made them a favorite of many DIY PC case modders and those looking to spice things up. With all that, it was only a matter of time until they ventured into liquid cooling, which is where their Liqtech line of products come in.

In today's review, I will be looking at Enermax's Liqtech 240. Using a unique radiator design that has more in common with traditional heatsinks than radiators, I am excited to figure out how it performs. They also included APS control on both twister-bearing fans. This allows users to set maximum fan speed to 1300 / 2000 /2500 RPM, so not only can you choose to give performance up for lower noise levels, but you can do so while keeping the PWM function. With that said, let us see what Enermax's new AIO cooler is capable of.

Packaging and Contents

The Enermax Liqtech 240 comes in a large, but sturdy box; it roughly measures 32.4 cm in length, 21.6 cm in width, and 14.6 cm in height. The front of the box shows the cooler and the fan with the pump unit's blue LEDs. Some of the all-in-one liquid CPU cooler's features are also listed. These include its Shunt Channel technology, Dual APS PWM fans, detachable fan blades, and more. A list of supported sockets is also readily visible. The left side comes with a quick paragraph on the cooler's purpose and its abilities, in multiple languages. With a direct feature list that includes the cooler's and fan's specifications, the back covers the meat and potatoes.

The right side just shows the same image of the cooler as on the front, with no additional information provided. The top lists the product name in large and easy-to-read font.

A cardboard box with a cardboard tray inside as a protective measure, Enermax's packaging is par the course for most liquid AIO coolers. While not great, it is more than adequate and does a fine job in keeping the contents organized. A final bit of foam on top keeps the components in place during transit and adds another thin layer of protection. Overall, I am happy with what I saw in regards to packaging. Not the best, it will do the job. Users shouldn't have to worry about damage during transit.

The Liqtech 240 comes with everything you need to mount the cooler to a modern CPU sockets. Given Intel dominates, the Intel mounting brackets come pre-attached. Enermax even made sure to provide a PWM-Y cable for the fans, which is nice to see.
