Epic Gear Meduza HDST Gaming Mouse Review

Introduction

Epic Gear recently launched a gaming mouse that stirred up quite a fuzz. Not only does it look great, but it also features a dual-sensor system which should combine the performance of an optical sensor and a laser sensor. This supposedly combines the pros of both types of sensor, which sounds very nice in theory. The mouse has a maximum DPI rating comparable with other high-end gaming mice and its design is ergonomic, featuring a soft-touch finish that we have seen on many gaming products lately.

Specifications

  • Three switchable sensing modes: Laser, Optical and HDST
  • Sensitivity of up to 6000 DPI
  • USB 2.0 full speed: 1000 Hz report rate
  • Two year warranty

The Package

Epic Gear's flashy box art matches the look of their hardware. The box emphasizes the wonders of the HDST tracking system.

The USB plug on the Epic Gear Meduza mouse looks quite durable. The USB cable is sleeved in an orange-dotted black sleeve.
