A Closer Look

The GXM module has been placed in an anti-static bag. Sure you will need it for open electronic devices, but this is just purely a precaution with the TripleHead2Go Digital.

The unit is a bit bigger than the DualHead2Go Digital (read our review here) and the TripleHead2Go Analoge (read our review here). Matrox has not changed the general function of the casing. It is still used as a heatsink, as the indented parts of the underside clearly reveal. The holes allow air to pass into the unit. Nonetheless, the TripleHead2Go does not heat up much at all, even after prolonged gaming sessions.

Both sides are also perforated to further reduce any heat build-up inside the TripleHead2Go. The unit is held in together by the hex screws of all the DVI and VGA connectors - simple but very effective.

There are connection on the longer edges of the TripleHead2Go Digital. On the input side we have the VGA, Dual-Link DVI and the afore mentioned USB plug. An LED next to this connector, lets you know if everything is functioning correctly. Green means that all is well, while red indicated a problem.
