Packaging and Accessories

Since mechanicalkeyboards.com is also a retailer, I wanted to cover their retail packaging as part of the packaging section. Nothing much to talk about here, except maybe that I would have liked to see some packing material used in the retail box as well. Inside were the two keyboards I received, and both come with a plastic wrap all around.

The product packaging is fairly clean with a black background and the product logo on the front, and the brand logo with contact information on the back. On the side we see more specific information to the exact product you have, and we can see that I received a black keycap model with Cherry MX Blue switches as well as a white keycap model with Cherry MX Brown switches. There are two flaps to help keep the contents in place, and opening the box we see the keyboard itself in a soft foam envelope and the accessories below.

In terms of accessories, we get a product manual with useful information on the function keys as well as how to control the two different lighting options built into the MK Fission. I would insist that customers take the time and refer to this at least once. Also included is a very nice wire type keycap puller. I much prefer this over the plastic ring type puller as this helps with oddly sized and larger size keycaps, and also does not have the potential of scratching/roughing up the sides of the keycaps.
