Packaging

This is Mushkin's standard memory package. It can be opened without a knife and unlike many other packages, it will not be destroyed by opening it. But be assured, the package is still protective and your memory will not fall out by accident.

Mushkin once again used their new heat spreader design, engineered for maximum contact between the heat spreader and the memory IC.

A closer look

Each module has a sticker on it, which tells you its part number as well as the kit's capacity.

Here we removed the heatspreader to let you have a look at the chips. This does void your warranty, so just have a look at our pictures and don’t bother removing the heat spreaders of your own modules because you could, and probably will, rip off one of the ICs.

Above are macro shots of the memory ICs, now the wierd thing is that we tried to look them up on Elpida's site, but they were not listed. But we can gather they are E5108AG-6E-E.

This is obviously a BrainPower made PCB, some of the best on the market. Their part number is: MLL E186014 B62URCE
