Show printable version
Manufacturer: A-DATA
Author: Darksaber
Date: Feb 20th 2008

Introduction

I would like to thank A-DATA for supplying the review sample. The company produces some very unique and useful memory products, ranging from a complete offering of notebook and desktop memory over memory cards in various shapes, sizes and speeds to USB storage in many flavors. A-DATA also has licenses to produce such memory devices with themes of Pirates of the Caribbean and Disney.

We have the pleasure to review the Sport S702 today. It is available in three different colors:

From the manufacturer:

  • Hanging ornament strap x 1
  • COB process for PCBA
  • Retractable USB connector
  • Support Windows®ReadyBoost™
  • Support USB 2.0, backward compatible with USB 1.1
  • The inner parts are equipped like a sports car, full of energy. The casing feels like leather.
  • The shining zinc alloy frame enhances the quality of the casing.
  • Dimension: 38x20.5x 8mm(LxWxH)
  • Weight: 11g
  • Color: Black/ Red/ Blue

Packaging

A-Data ships the Sporty Series S701 in a round plastic package. It is completely transparent. The S701 can clearly be viewed in the front, and the small strap is stored in the back of the package. A-Data has not welded it shut on the edges, which makes it very easy to open. Simply cut the pieces of tape, holding the two halves together.

Contents

The strap can easily be attached to the S701 and features a metal clamp to keep the strap together. This gives the piece a very high quality feel, which goes great with the metal casing of the S701.
