Antec Basiq VP350P 350 W Review

A Look Inside »

Packaging

The box is really small since the PSU's dimensions are restricted. On the front there is an angled partial photo of the unit on black background and right below it there are several feature badges. Very interesting is Antec's slogan written in the front, left bottom corner: "Strictly Power. No bells. No whistles. No nonsense". With this phrase Antec abolishes all exotic features which have nothing to do with the performance of the unit and states to focus only to quality power output.
On the rear of the box there is nothing worth mentioning. If you want to find out more about this unit then you should better take a look on the packaging's sides.

Contents

Two pieces of cardboard protect the PSU which is also wrapped in plastic, to avoid accidental scratches during transportation. The bundle includes only the essentials plus two reusable cable ties. Also there is no user's manual, only a folded piece of paper which merely provides a product overview.

Exterior

The PSU is painted in black and the unsleeved cables do not look so good. We think that many users wouldn't mind a small increase in price for fully sleeved cables but this is just our opinion. The cable exit hole unfortunately doesn't have a grommet around it but the cables are few while the hole is pretty large, so they are not pushed to the edges. Finally on the unit's front the classic honeycomb design grill is utilized and right next to the AC receptacle there is an On/Off switch.
