CES 2008: Mushkin Review

Mushkin has also opted for a suite instead of a booth at the busy show floor. They have a few very interesting items on display. On the picture above you see the new headspreaders which feature thin copper inlays to spread the heat better to the aluminum on the outside and the fins above the memory. As you can see there are three blank areas for clips, but on the final production model only two will be used.

Their new power supplies are fully modular and go up to 800W. It features four rails with 20A each and has a black mirror finish. The interesting part is the switch on the rear of the unit, with which you may switch from four seperate rails to a big, single rail.

Another new addition comes in form of DDR3 modules. These are one of the first sticks to use the new Micron D9JNL chips. These are much cheaper than previous generations from Micron, which should make for some cheaper DDR3 DIMMs for the end user.
