Introduction

We would like to thank Cellshock for supplying the review sample.

Cellshock is a brand of the MSC Vertriebs GmbH. The company was established in 1979 and has made a name for itself as one of the leading high-tech distributors of electronic components in Europe. The Cellshock brand made some waves as they offer enthusiast memory from Germany and entered the marked with full force. The brand is offered in form of DDR2 and DDR3 memory with very unique heatspreaders.

From the manufacturer CellShock:

  • 1866 MHz DDR3
  • CL 8-8-8-16 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)
  • Micron D9JNL Chips
  • Unbuffered
  • 5 Year Warranty
  • 1.8 - 2.0 Volts

Packaging

Cellshock packs all of their enthusiast memory in the same black cardboad box. There is a clear window through which the memory module can be seen. Our review samples do not yet have the proper stickers on them. The retail variant will of course feature this aspect of the package. If you want to know what the labels on the Cellshock memory look like, take a look at our review of their DDR2 memory. The rear of the package holds some promotional text in various languages.

The two modules are placed on top of each other, even though there would be enough space to place them side by side within the black box. Below the memory you will find a pamphlet which holds warranty information and installation instructions. A little Cellshock sticker is also part of the package.
