A Closer Look

The memory modules incorporate a unique Newegg Lanfest heatspreader displaying Newegg.com's logo along with Crucial's and indicate Lanfest "2K7". The heatspreaders have a serrated and flashy aluminum border. It is interesting to find that the heatspreaders contain no sticker indicating specifications such as rated speeds, timings and voltage. The two indescript stickers indicate model number and simply that the modules are lead free w/ Enhanced Performance Profiles.

One of the most unique aspects of these special edition modules is the blue ground effect LED lights. These are the same LED lights that are used for Ballistix Tracers but with the top LEDs disabled and thus shining blue as opposed to red and green. In addition, these LED lights are static as to opposed to the red and green of Ballistix Tracers which dynamically represent the memory activity. It is plain to see that these modules make a great addition to almost any lighting scheme, blue most especially.
