Introduction

Today we take another look back into the past at a product that might find some usefulness being repurposed yet again, this time with Exceleram's Rippler ERB300A PC-12800 CAS 6 DDR3. Exceleram has been around for about five years now, but their limited market penetration leaves them as a brand that not too many are familar with. With a recent move to Taipei for their headquarters, Exceleram seeks to change just that, and now their products can be found in quite a few markets. Here's what Exceleram themselves has to say about themselves:

Exceleram was established in October 2007 as a new brand in Germany. The Exceleram technical team has many years of experience allowing them to guarantee memory overclocking potential as well as high compatibility with all common/current motherboards.

The slogan “Spirit of Germany” is used to express the German quality control that is globally recognized for perfection. All Exceleram memory modules are carefully 100% hand-tested on actual motherboards to consistently guarantee customers these high quality standards.

Exceleram very purposely builds some of their modules with considerable overclocking headroom for enthusiasts, and the ERB300A set is such a kit. Featuring Exceleram's own "Rippler" design, a fancy black PCB, and contained within one of the most impressive packages ever, the ERB300A kit is anything but your average kit:
