The Glacialtech Igloo 5750 Silent is a cheap, good looking cooler with a nice finish. It features four copper heat pipes connected to both copper and aluminium fins with interchangeable dual 90mm fans. Both these fans hold up to their name as they are silent at any temperature. The cooler has a very simple installation mechanism as it follows the same design as the Intel stock cooler. For AMD based motherboards, the installation is just as easy but requires an additional couple of steps. The pre-applied thermal compound is also an added bonus as users do not have to worry about applying it correctly or not.

Although the cooler was silent at all temperatures, the performance was not very pleasing. For a cooler with dual 90mm fans, four copper heat pipes and two blocks of fins, better performance was expected. That being said, the cooler did not run much warmer than the Intel stock cooler and was a lot quieter, which is the main aim of this heatsink.

Overall, the Glacialtech Igloo 5750 Silent is a cheap, decent looking cooler which is totally silent but has mediocre performance. For its price, it is simply worth replacing the Intel stock cooler for lower noise levels. It meets its requirement and fills its market niche as a silent, easy to install heatsink.
