Packaging

When I first picked up the box for the PC-A16 case, I was amazed at the weight of it. The box came a little beat up, but nothing major was visible. There's nothing fancy about the box, and I believe this is due to the fact that it came directly from Lian Li. When I took the case out of the box, the Styrofoam was a broken a little bit, however the case was in perfect condition and therefore it did its job.

A Closer Look

My first impressions of the case were "wow"... I love the simple look of the case. The finish of the case is very nice, though it tends to take finger prints easily and are quite hard to get off. The Power and Reset switches are located at the top of the case and blend in nicely. There are also two USB, one 1394 Firewire port, and two audio ports (Headphones and Microphone) on top of the case.


The front of the PC-A16 is designed to have lots of air flow to assist cooling being full of holes. There are five 5.25" drive bays as well has the hard drive rack. The hard drive is also fully adjustable, and can be places to almost any position one choose in the drive bay area. The case uses all thumb screws for access to the insides, which adds a little more class to the case. There's a single 120mm fan that is an intake for air flow. Towards the bottom right, there is a section of holes that is part of a exhaust system that we'll see later on in the review. The case has a very clean and simple look to it, which some may find boring, but others like myself find very nice.
