Introduction

Mionix had a real breakthrough with the original Naos 5000 mouse that featured one of the best laser sensors of its time, the Avago ADNS-9500. Today, we will take a look at the updated version of the NAOS. Dubbed the Naos 8200, it is of course capable of tracking upwards of 8200 DPI due to the new ADNS-9800 sensor. While the difference is small in terms of tracking performance, the Naos 8200 also ditches the adjustable weight system, which makes the mouse even lighter and more rigid. This is definitely a major upgrade over the predecessor for all of us who likes solid but light mice. Its ergonomics have not changed, which is a good thing because the shape and feel of the Naos 5000 were superb! At $89/€89, the new Naos launches for the same price as the Naos 5000.
