Value and Conclusion

  • A matched pair of two OCZ 512MB PC2-5400 modules sets you back about $350 - not cheap if you ask me. But worth it, if you have the money.
  • Excellent overclocking
  • Good performance
  • Beautiful Heatspreaders
  • Warranty for higher voltage
  • Expensive
9.0If you are an overclocker who is looking to get the maximum out of the Pentium4, the OCZ PC2-5400 Platinum EB are exactly right for you. If you are not overclocking at all, or only a little, you should look into cheaper memory products.
The lowest multiplier a P4 can run on is 14x (using Enhanced Intel SpeedStep for example). Since these modules can run over 360 MHz stable, they will get you into the 5 GHz club, even when running memory sync with FSB. If your CPU and cooling can do it.
