This starts with the packaging and the incredible build quality we have come to expect from OrigenAE products. The T12 touch screen is the ultimate remote control device for any home theater. Considering the huge price tag, you should either plan this unit into your budget when equipping your living room or save as much on the case of your HTPC and go for this display instead. Sure, it does not have the greatest viewing angle or black levels, but the primary use of the T12 is to control your media center from the comfort of your couch. Doing so is a real joy and the possible 1080p resolution means that you do not need to configure each display separately, but can simply clone the desktop you are used to seeing on your full HD TV. Even if your television cannot handle anything more than 720p, the OrigenAE T12 performs flawlessly, thanks to its native resolution of 1280x800. Would you have to think long and hard about spending so much money on a such a gadget? Certainly, but the costs are offset by the fact that the screen will outlive any HTPC, which means you can save on more than just a single HTPC chassis or even go for a cheap standard enclosure and simply hide it within a cupboard. |
