Overclocking

To find the maximum overclock of our card we used a combination of AMD internal overclocking software, ATITool and our benchmarking suite.



The final overclocks of our card are 731 MHz core (10% overclock) and 1014 MHz Memory (2% overclock). The core overclock is nice, especially since it's an already overclocked edition. The memory overclock is slim which is probably because of the very basic copper heatspreaders on the memory.

Temperatures

Even though the cooler is extremely quiet, the temperatures are lower than the HD 4850 reference design. The numbers you see in the graph are based on the MEMIO sensor in the GPU die which is the hottest one of the three on-die sensors.
