QPAD|CT Gaming Surface Review

Durability

Since this mat has a polymer coating on top it is way more durable than the 100% cloth mats when it comes to spillage. However, if you bend it tightly, it will damage the polymer coating and make the mat less smooth.

The spillage test:

As you can se on the pictures above the mat doesn't absorb any water at all. This is good because it makes the mat more durable when it comes to spilling soft drinks on it. I think that you can save the mat from being damaged by soft drinks spillage just by cleaning the mat with a damped cloth. The polymer coating also makes it very easy to clean the mat because dust doesn't stick to it.

Value & Conclusion

  • The QPAD|CT costs $50/ €40 including shipping from QPAD's own site (www.qpad.se), it comes in two sizes, two colors, and two thicknesses.

  • Precut teflon, instead of this they should include a strip of the original Glidz teflon.
This mat is really precise even though it is a cloth based mat. I really like the mat due to its polymer surface. It combines the speed and precision of a hard plastic mat with the easy transportability and comfort of the cloth mat. The QPAD|CT Large costs €40 including precut teflon and shipping from the QPAD website. The performance to cost ratio is really good, you get quite a mat for this price. If you are a gamer I suggest that you buy the 4mm based mat because this eliminates the problem with the mat slipping around on your desk.
