The Card

Sapphire's new HD 3850 1 GB uses the same single slot cooler designs as the reference HD 3850.

The card features two DVI outputs which can be used with digital flat panels for resolutions up to 2560x1600. In case you still have an old analog display you can use the included DVI adapter. Like all newer cards from AMD it also supports HDMI+HDCP+Audio via the included HDMI adapter.

When I took the card out of the box I noticed that the fan power cable was right on top of the fan. The cable could possible make contact with the fan which results in additional noise, better to tuck it away under the cooler.

Here are the front and the back of the card, high-res versions are also available (front, back). If you choose to use these images for voltmods etc, please include a link back to this site.
