Packaging

The DS437T comes in the same plain cardboard box as all other slim-PCs by Shuttle. The box doesn't look like anything special, but is sturdy enough to protect its contents well. Although it is small and not heavy, it comes with a plastic handle to help you move it around.


On one of two sides is a sticker with the product's specifications.

Inside the box, two large pieces of packing foam protect the slim-PC that has also been put into a cloth bag.


The small accessories box includes a software disc, the power brick, two screws for HDD mounting, and a pair of stands. Like with the DS47, we would prefer it if the provided software were on an inexpensive USB drive instead. You see, putting the software on a USB drive would avoid the hassle of having to access it via another PC to then somehow transfer the files onto the DS437T. The bundle also includes a VESA mount, which, however, wasn't included with our sample because Shuttle sent us one of their early review samples without one.


The power brick is by FSP, and its model number is FSP065-REC. It can provide up to 3.42 A at 19 V output, which has it deliver around 65 W of power, enough for this small system.


The power brick uses a 2-slot AC cord to draw power from the socket.
