| 9.5 | The SteelPad S&S is a really good hard plastic mat. Even though the competition on the hard plastic mat is more fierce now than ever, the S&S is still right at the top because of the innovative surface, it has a unique feel and has all of the properties that a demanding gamer could ask for. One of the things that I like about the SteelPad S&S is that the glide is well balanced. This mat is has a medium glide and therefore it is well suited for most gamers all the way from low sensitivity to high sensitivity. The surface has all of the qualities needed to be a great gaming mat, it's clear to me that this mat is one of the best performing mats on the hard plastic mat market. The only downside about this mat is the rubber spray applied to the bottom of the pad to make it grip the desk surface. It wears off quite easily. Even though it isn't that durable, it grips the desk surface really well and makes the pad stay in place while gaming. |
