Super Talent introduces fully buffered DDR2

Super Talent Technology, a leading American manufacturer of DDR and DDR2 memory modules, today announced its new DDR2 Fully Buffered DIMM (FB DIMM) modules.

The company's Silicon Valley based engineering team, with over 60 patents pending, is dedicated to developing advanced memory module and flash solutions. As a major supplier of ECC registered DDR and DDR2 modules to the server market, Super Talent recognized the advantages of FB DIMM technology, and decided early to commit development resources to these products.

S2GTR4CJ 533MHz / PC2-4300 2GB FB DIMM
S1GTR8CM 667MHz / PC2-5400 1GB FB DIMM

The FB DIMM point-to-point architecture supports six channels, and eight FB DIMMs per channel, for a total of up to forty-eight 4GB FB DIMMs, or 192GB in a server. According to Super Talent's VP of Business Operations, C.H. Lee, "FB DIMM architecture dramatically raises both the memory capacity and bandwidth of servers, with absolutely no tradeoffs in reliability." Mr. Lee continued, "This new module design solves the long-term server memory capacity problem and is a very appealing solution for server OEMs."

These modules are designed, manufactured and tested in Super Talent's USA-based headquarters in Silicon Valley. Fully compliant with JEDEC specifications, they have been tested extensively for performance and reliability on in-house FB DIMM test platforms, and have already been qualified by top server board manufacturers to ensure compatibility with the newest server platforms.

All Super Talent DRAM modules are backed by a lifetime warranty. These products are available in April in sample quantities, and will be in mass production in May.
