ATI to Release New Video Cards soon?

According to the guys over at OCWForums, ATI will be introducing the R580+ models namely Radeon X1950XTX and Radeon X1950 CrossFire edition and a 256M Radeon 1900XT in August 2006. The Radeon X1950XTX is based on R580+ core and has 512MB GDDR4. The Radeon X1950 CrossFire Edition will also be announced right after the X1950XTX. In a few more days, ATI will also release a 256M version of the Radeon X1900XT.

Are these cards DX10 ready or the last of the DX9 cards?

Hmmmmm.... I am thinking that I wouldn't mind trying out the 256mb X1900XT bios on my X1900GT....

pffft. talk about flogging an old horse. be patient people, DX10 is almost here, so those "new"cards will be very, very expensive paperweights in no time flat.

Vista does support DX9 Cards and will run video cards using DX9 game driver supported.

Its just that if you dont have DX10 card you cant take full advantage of the graphics performance.
