Dell Signs European Distribution Deal With Carrefour

French-flavored retail mammoth the Carrefour Group has signed a deal with Dell that will see it become the first mass merchant in Europe to sell Dell-branded notebooks and laptops. "We're delighted to have reached this agreement with Carrefour, which enables consumers to have greater access to Dell products in an environment where they can experience the look and feel of our products before purchasing," said Mark Ormerod, Vice President and General Manager, Consumer business for Dell's Europe, Middle East and Africa operations. "Beginning in January consumers in Europe will be able to call, click or visit to purchase award winning Dell products at great prices." Starting from January, 365 Carrefour stores in France, Belgium and Spain will distribute Dell systems with more shops and eventually countries set to be added later next year.

For anyone who doesnt know Carrefour, it is a SUPERMARKET, just like TESCO. Don't expect ANY technical support at these stores. LOL
