Is a 2GB platform more beneficial in benching than 4GB?

Normally 2GB is easier to OC than 4, however 4x1GB can clock higher than 2 x 2GB usually, it just requires more NB voltage, however seeing as your getting a P5Q Pro soon, I see no reason why you cant run 4 x 1GB at 1200 MHz

there are not d9 2gb stick. the micron d9 are performance chips not high capacity ones

Yeah, Asus boards are generally good at handling 4x1GB. My Maximus Formula did 4x1GB firestix at nearly 1300mhz. 2 of my DFI boards also handled 4x1 well too, especially my p35 Blood Iron, which took similar sticks over 1200.

I think kyle2020 will be pleased to hear that and very interested in those sticks if thats the case.

Shame he's not on, hope he doesn't loose out on them, he has 2 x 1gb sticks already, then he'd be back up to 4gb again.

Worth asking for general info, do those sticks get shit hot when you stress them with anything like memtest? That way folk will know if they need to have a fan at the ready to mount over them
