According to their webite http://allyours.virginmedia.com/websales/service.do?id=2
& junk mail Uk virgin media internet custermers with the 2mb connection are now ment to have been upped to 10mb.
Well has anyone had there 2mb connection upped to 10mb ? I havent.
Mines still 2mb Been googling to find info on this & just as i thought it seems its another scam !
What i've found out on other forums is:
New customers will get the 10mb connection for one month then it drops to 2mb unless you phone them & get it put back up to 10mb at an extra £10 a month.
Existing 2mb customers will stay on the 2mb unless you phone them & ask to go on their 10mb connection. You then get 10mb for one month then as above, cough up or ya back on 2mb.
Oh & there 20mb isn't really 20mb its still 10mb ! As above its only 20mb for the first month then you have to pay extra to not get dropped to 10mb.
None of this is mentioned on their website you have to phone them & ask for this info.
If this is correct its totally missleading so how the hell they getting away with it
