my buddys working on a 8chip dual core setup(16 cores) using a tyan board, no he dosnt "need" it but hes been buying the parts little by little as he gets deals on stuff, he just needs to get the cpus now, its insain, its got a 3dlabs 640mb video card in it, i want it....i want it badd, no i dont need it, but the bragging rights........oh i want it lol

imagine 3DsMax or something.. usually takes about 7 hours for a high res image to render fully.. i bet this would take about 30 mins or so..

its not great but it is better then many cards i have used for gaming, main issues is driver support for games, 3dlabs is working on a consumer level line now so if they get the cards out i would bet we see better game drivers across there product lines.

and hell we need a 3rd decent chip maker, compotition is good for everybody

Without bothering to click the link I dare to say that this is not a computer but a cluster of computers. Which makes the whole thing a lot less interesting. PLnet of big ones on the planet already.

Do you really think it would be possible to hae a single computer with that spec??? Yes it a very large cluster of computers, The size of a fooball pitch !!

probably wont be desktops but 1u high machines, which we build at the linlithgow plant. The storage will be on a seperate rack.
