I was not made aware that you had played the game previously. as for servers - if your american its fine - but for most non-american servers its pretty much dead - the Euro/English server is not too bad - there are still active players but unfortunately 80% of the time no players in mission areas or at least ones that arent title farming and there are a small handfull of missions that arent to hero & hench friendly as you have to split the team up - which isnt impossible to do, but it makes the mission more difficult as heros & henchmen will never be as good as human players.

Well thats bad for Europe then sorry to hear that but as you can see thats not the case here.

I am actually pissed off..i might of got hacked...i just logged into my account yesterday and my 15k elite gladiator and elite charr helmet got deleted and my near perfect long sword 15-22 dmg 50% increase in dmg when health is low and 28+ health got deleted by some asshole..really upset...

not the only one man, i went to play the other day, because someone i knew on steam bought it when there was a deal, and realized that my gw account was hacked, same kind of shit on mine 15k glad, and a vampiric axe for gryphon grinding, with a 20 20 armor penetration, forgot the second spec for it, which was what i used for the rest of the stuff like rushing and stuff for example he was a Warrior Monk or Warrior Mesmer for some rushes,
then a 55 monk for troll farming outside of droks who had UW armor.

sadly i cant really get back into it really, i tried and if i remember right i got back to level 20 again on a Ele Mes and a Dervish i got to 14 or 16

but ya its a really great game.

I have lost practially all my money..armors i collected for my assasin,my necromancer armor gone the staff gone,all my gold is gone,all my spare swords is gone...ain't playing it again..
I am going to just wait for Guild Wars 2 now.

hehe, I never new there was a guild wars thread here... Back in the day I played this game obsessively. My younger brother and I played a lot of PvE initially and soon filtered over PvP and GvG.

my two main characters were:

Arv X: Lvl20 E/X with full obby armor, tormented fire staff, many other perfect staves for various casting builds. People know me title on this char.

|| Dr Dre ||: Lvl20 Mo/X with Obby pants, chaos gloves, labyrinthine tats and a mask of the mo-zing. This fella has every elite skill in the game and kind of a big deal... too many high end weapons to count

I dont have the game installed anymore, but I am furiously anticipating guildwars 2

Not much of one to post, but I've got to say this is by far the best game I've ever played. The graphics are still stunning, and the gameplay beats anything else out there. I've got some 4k hours spent on this game over the past five years, most of it PvPing...that really made the game, best balanced game I've ever played that claims to be PvP. Only issue now is, the PvP is dead, the PvE has been ruined by skills that make it far too easy, and players are hard to come by if you don't know any.

Still easily worth whatever price you must pay, just realize that when GWs2 comes out late this year (FYI, it's been coming out "late this year" for three years), most of the players will transfer over.

Too damned late right now to go in depth about the game, but I'll try and check in tomorrow. The beginning of Guild Wars Prophecies (AKA Guild Wars, game of the year edition, tyria), is just beautiful and infinitely entertaining. Your first ten hours can be spent there, a zone that, being rushed through, takes about 10 minutes, and you'll love every minute and have content left (this is a zone that takes up maybe 1/15th the space of the rest of the game (Prophecies only), and it has two standalone campaigns, and an expansion).

This game was perfect when it came out, and has had monthly updates for years, so some things are worse off than before, but still miles ahead of anything I've seen...and that's the opinion of everyone I've talked to in the game.

If your new to GW, put it up! Well Worth it. Game is kind of dead though for PvE that is. PvP is still going pretty strong. I play a bit of PvE and PvP just to balance it out. Add me!

Okay fellas the best place to buy weapons from other people is? and hows it done?

if you only have prophecies the best place to buy weapons is Lion's Arch,

if you havent gotten there yet you can just buy weapons at ascalon, but try not to get scammed by paying more for a skin you think "looks cool"

i am reinstalling the game right now (takes a long time. Once I have it installed I can run you to lions arch and further if you want.

yeah thats elite kurzik armor from factions, pretty bomb gear for sure - I always wanted it for my rit but I had to focus my capital on my more useful characters

Can you move from one game to another I have factions. I had to make two account but they said the would merge them.

you can take characters from prophecies to factions but your char must be level 20 first. (or close to 20)

the X just means my characters can be any secondary. I mispoke before when I said my monk had elite skill hunter, thats actually my ele.

to pick up dervish as secondary I believe you will need to go to nightfall and buy it in kamadan

I couldnt get off the starter island without choosing a class for some reason ... so i am an A/Mo ... hopefully that is a good farming/pve class

just curious ... if i get cd keys for the 2 xpacks ... is there a place to DL them like there is to DL the original game?

You basically have them in your machine already. The cd keys will just unlock the campaign for your account so you can access em.

You must have nightfalls campaign tied in with your account. Other than that, your character must be 'Ascended' (the most hassle of all lol) if he was created in Prophecies, 'Reached the Stars / Wen ho' if was created in Factions, or 'Hunted' if created in NightFall. If completed you may change your secondary to a Profession Changer NPC.

PvP characters however can change anytime.

in anycase, a sin-derv is cool. Enchantment heavy. Pretty much relies on Crit strikes and Critical Defense skill. Scyth attack skills are cheap on en and fast cooldown (en in which will be regen if you hit a crit ).. with a natural adjacent damage as well. I'll post one of my A/D skill bar code later when I get home.

Sins are good farmers as well. Mostly because of the 'perma build'. But that was already nerfed. lol. Was literally on 'God Mode' in the field.

Lol, whyd you make 2 accounts . You should add the keys to one email account only. In anycase, yes you can go to any place anytime.. you dont need to be level 20.
