GeForce GTS 450 to Sport New GPU, 128-bit Memory Interface

5830 and 465 were both just huge flops price/performance wise.

We got used to 8800GT >> then 4870/gtx260 >> then 275 and 4890... Then 5770

after those 5830 and 465 look like total fail.

Um, this is all good and well and i am sure this card will not have any connectors i would think. However, would be nice if the card pack 2GB and with a 256bit bus. 1GB with 128bit is fine tho.

no cards use 2GB of ram yet.

256 bit bus = 460

i am kind of hoping that they will release this card with some single slot versions. the 5770 and 5750 also need some true single slot versions that is the card i want for my mini itx build but the case doesn't look like it will take a dual slot card...

also hoping for low wattage out of fermi on this one something without a 6 pin!

The 5790 having two GPUs is not ideal, but its advertised as one card and is still a formidable solution and has kept Nvidia at bay. Until NVidia slap two GTX 480s on one PCB, ATI have the crown.

I think you are being hard in respect to the 5870 it does not get "walloped", yes the GTX 480 is faster but only slightly. On most reviews including W1zzard's review only a few frames per second that separates the two i.e. 1-10 FPS which equates to 10% separation between the GTX 480 and 5870 on average at both high and low resolutions. So as far as I’m concerned they are practically on par. Also considering that the 5870 is over $100 cheaper and consumes less power its still the better choice.

The GTX480 Shines with AA and heavy tesselation. Its awesome to cranck the AA and dont get slammed with fps massacre. Also to me drivers count, and Nvidia has the lead. A 5870 would be weak for me, a 480 i am sattisfied.
About power, thats a non issue in a single card config, since 100W is not much considering your system is not loaded% and doesnt count as much in the entire rig. Also OC has a higher effect on nvidia since ever

Hmmmm.... Nv making things interesting again. Good for them.

128bits memory bus is'nt so bad as long there's GDDR5 used.

Otherwise GDDR3 would be a true downgrade.

Ah well, i'm sticking towards Ati :)

cause he's u2k lol seriously i luv this guy, . . . . . but not in a gay way;)
