We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.

We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.

We’ll have more information for you in the near future.

Nah there probably is a legit reason for this. People were reporting glitches at demos in best buy and such. Also read a rumor of a translation issue for russia(where the delay rumors started yesterday)

Can't say I didn't expect this, but to be honest, it isn't too bad. The last push back was 1 year and 1 month extension, so seeing a month to a month and a half extension is a good sign.

As I've said before and I'll say again, racing sims grew up (with me) and I am no longer grinding my teeth in anticipation.

I'm also not going to discourage fans. I think GT5 is going to be amazing, but in my mind it won't compete with the computer based sims that have been out for a while.

I'm also going to mention I have played to death every GT game since numéro uno.

(The original best sim was Hard Drivin' IMO. It had to be played in arcades though.)

They probably wont push it that far back. A lot of the internet seems to think its a marketing thing, trying to avoid sales conflicts with kinect and what not. Dec 20 is just 5 days before xmas, they would prob do dec 10th ish at the latest, give time for people to buy it.

Christ, i remember when this game was reveled back in '06 and i can't believe it's still not out and is still being pushed back.

Yeah they have put a retarded amount of work into it. The only real date aside from this one was march earlier this year, but there was strong speculation for 2009, and even 2008 before. All of us waiting were so happy to get a date, then 3 weeks before it comes out: BAM. But what can you do, might just have to get NFS HP on release, or at the very least play more forza

Delay would have happened regardless most likely, this is just a scapegoat for them. Its the perfect excuse you know.
