GPU Z doesn't work with new GTX 580

NVM, fixed. wizz and I identified the problem (fucking ati stream sdk BS) and its running perfectly.

thats weird, never seen that error ever. did you try the last release? the one with ocp unlocking??

Um..what version is that? I had 4.8 but it gave me the same error

Ya, everything updated. I just installed this card like 20 mins ago. It was working on my 5970

Might be worth sending a PM to W1zzard about this, then. I'll bet he could home in on this problem quickly and might lead to another GPU-Z revision.

Which GTX 580 do you have? The BIOSes from the different brands can sometimes cause problems like this.

gpu-z works with my gtx 580 and i got the evga black ops one.

Which GTX 580 do you have? The BIOSes from the different brands can sometimes cause problems like this.

I got the PNY one because every other brand was sold out.

That would definitely fix it for GPUz.. problem is, what about other apps? imo, you need to fix the root cause of it (perhaps completely purging ati related software in the os?)
