Need Doom3 mod

I just played through Doom 3 (first time in years) again on normal difficulty and am keen on a second playthrough on harder settings, but am keen on a mod that visually enhances the game, like textures and stuff... you know.

theres quite a few out there so I'd like some opinions. current hardware lets me play with 32xAA and 16xAF which is nice already, but you know the itch.

One of my all time favorite mods. But for today's standard i recommend that you also look for HD textures or high resolution textures.

Perfected Doom 3, it adds/changes more than graphics but believe me, you want it.

Still disappointed there's no triple barrel shotgun though...

I'm going to dive on the Perfect Doom 3 mod that one sounds really interesting, but from the large description it seems to make the game a lot harder all by itself, so should my second playthrough be on normal or hard?

EDIT: I'm getting a "wrong game DLL API version" error when I launch the mod..

Well, it's a total conversion over to Hexen, but here is a mod that is awesome to play through.

I think you have to patch to 1.3.1 BUT MAKE SURE YOU PATCH TO 1.3 FIRST, OTHERWISE YOU'RE SCREWED.

Play it on whatever you played it before. It's not harder per se, but you do have to think a bit more.

Thanks for this. I actually just picked up the Doom pack sale @ Steam a few weeks ago and have been playing this quite a bit. There is Classic Doom conversion has been fucking amazing so far....

Yeah, I was playing that too, but I didn't finish it before I got Perfected.
