Razer, the world's leading high-end precision gaming brand, is proud to send your Star Wars: The Old Republic gaming experience into hyperspace with the release of a licensed Star Wars: The Old Republic product line, expected to launch in conjunction with the hotly anticipated title. In collaboration with BioWare and LucasArts, this collection of gaming weaponry will equip you to win, whether you're carrying out the work of the Dark Sith lords or righteously defending the people of the Galactic Republic.

"As fans of Star Wars ourselves, we are absolutely thrilled for the chance to create a product line for Star Wars: The Old Republic. The result is a spectacular collection of the highest grade peripherals that is a tribute to the franchise, its fans and gamers alike," said Robert "RazerGuy" Krakoff, President, Razer USA. "When we began development of the peripherals with Razer, our goal was to not only compliment game play but also create products that feel like a part of the Star Wars universe. Everyone wants an Aurebesh keyboard---right?"

Can Razer actually make something which isn't a complete gimmick?
I mean, you know, mice which don't have keyboards on them, and keyboards which don't have LCD's on them.

Razer's thing is "For Gamers, by gamers".

So, my neice and nephew spent the weekend at my house, as they had some business in town to deal with.

Of course, in the family, I'm the go-to pc guy. And they are looking to buy a pc. Guy what they wanted?

Console gamers and fanboys love this stuff. I do too. I could use more buttons on my mouse right now, too! Heck, I want the full set of accessories!

The Black Widow keyboard might suite your needs

Exactly. They do it because it sells. Maybe not to us-with the exception of Dave but hey he actually tried to run Eyefinity (hee hee ;))-but that hardly matters.

Looks like high quality products, never been a fan of the mouse, but I've never had a chance to feel if it was comfortable. To be honest though, the keyboard is the one thing catching my eye. But for me to be really interested, I would need to see the LCD in action.

You'd have to play an MMO to understand, hotkeys are a way of life. Some people will use all of those mice binds, I personally don't, but I do use quite a few mice binds with my RAT 7, and without it, I would feel lost.

If I ever buy a new mousepad (the one I have now is a thick and tiny piece of clothing from the early 90s) that would be it. I like the keyboard but not the actual keys. Mouse and phones are an expensive meh.

Urgh.. that stuff looks ugly.. i like star wars and all but this :(

I like the keyboard and mouse pad. The mouse has entirely too many thumb buttons and they are going to be in an awkward location when you try to reach the back row. Then again, I don't play MMO's, so maybe their target audience will get this up.

It's interesting how games themselves are progressing toward maturity, and yet the terms "gamer" and "gaming" seem to be moving backwards in regards to most computer hardware.

It's only a matter of time before they start selling crates of LEDs towards "gamers" that you can swim around in like a ball pit.

Wow, that's a bunch of really expensive junk...
Razer do know how to cash in on people's vanity though...

Not sure what you have been smoking to say Razer makes high quality products in general. We will have to wait till the wear and tear reports come in to be sure. Keyboard catches my eye too, wish they will implement that on a notebook instead though.

hopefully they will make it in black versions aswell, the grey is meh'ish

They already have an entire line-up of "normal" mice and keyboards.

They keyboard maybe, but those mice are just the Naga Epic for fanboys.

I didn't say Razer makes high quality anything, put on your bifocals. In-fact, I didn't say anything about Razer the company or all of it's line of products, I said these SW:TOR products look high quality (didn't even say they were high quality, just that they look it). I haven't ever owned anything from Razer, their mice don't interest me because most of them are ambidextrous. And I prefer other keyboards to theirs.

Yeah, it could be a very useful tool, if it really is as slick as they describe it. But I am curious to see how nice of an interface it really has, and how easily it can be used on the fly. Or if it can be used for other games out there, thats a big one.

This is what got me into Razer in the first place. I gots some big skinny mitts, and the over-large Razer shape fits my hand near perfectly.

I know, but everything new from them has been really... gimmicky.
I can understand the need for more buttons on a mouse, but why the millions of gimmicky lights and glossy everything?

Sorry, I misread your post :o

I own a naga and I use all the buttons. It's probably the most overloaded mouse they have and I don't find anything gimmicky about it.

nice. i love the color scheme
and the mouse pad color
